The Faculty of Education and Humanities is organizing the 8th International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature in English (IRCEELT 2018) which is held on 20-21 April 2018 at International Black Sea University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers to discuss issues, tackle real challenges, develop professionally, share opinions, find solutions and explore opportunities in the areas of education. The conference serves the purpose of promoting a tight link between theory and practice and explores different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice. The conference usually attracts participants from different countries: Georgia, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Hungary, Spain, Latvia, Finland, Israel, Belarus, Turkey, the Russian Federation, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, India, Jordan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Oman, Qatar, Thailand, Nigeria, Algeria, and Ghana.

The Faculty of Education and Humanities is organizing the 7th International Research Conference on Education, Language and Literature (IRCEELT 2017) which is held on 21-22 April 2017 at International Black Sea University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
The scope of the conference embraces interesting disciplines: education, history of education, educational psychology, classroom management, educational leadership, management and administration, methods of teaching English, using information communication technologies in teaching and learning, Anglo-American linguistics, culture, and literature.
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners and policy makers to discuss issues, tackle real challenges, develop professionally, share opinions, find solutions and explore opportunities in the areas of education. The conference serves the purpose of promoting a tight link between theory and practice and explores different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice. The conference usually attracts participants from 26 different countries: Georgia, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Greece, Israel, Sweden, Turkey, Russian Federation, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, India, Jordan, Oman, Libya, Malaysia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Nigeria, and South Africa.
The Faculty of Education and Humanities has organised the 6th International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature in English (IRCELT 2016) which is held on 22-23 April 2016 at International Black Sea University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners and policy makers to discuss issues, tackle real challenges, develop professionally, share opinions, find solutions and explore opportunities in the areas of education. The conference serves the purpose of promoting a tight link between theory and practice and explores different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice. There are over 130 participants, experienced and well-known teachers, professors and educators from 18 different countries, such as Georgia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Canada, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, China, Oman, Jordan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Spain, and Russia.

The Fifth International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English Language and Literatures in English was held on May 1-2 at the Faculty of Education and Humanities. It was opened by the chair of the conference, IBSU Vice rector Prof., Dr. Natela Doghonadze. The cultural attaché of the US Embassy James Dewey, IBSU Rector, Prof., Dr. Ilyas Ciloglu, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities Prof. Dr. Tamar Shioshvili, representatives of ETAG (English Teachers’ Association of Georgia) and British Council took part in the opening ceremony.
- More than a hundred participants from 7 countries (Georgia, Turkey, Iraq, Poland, USA, Uganda and Azerbaijan) presented about 90 papers. Presenters were awarded certificates of participation.
- 9 Georgian, 6 Turkish and 1 Iraqi, 2 Polish, 1 US, and 1 Azeri university, some schools and educational institutions were represented.
- Faculty of Education and Humanities academic staff (8), also School of Languages (2), and other faculties (2) participated.
- Our Faculty’s best 9 Bachelor and 12 Ph.D. students, as well as some IBSU students from other faculties presented papers.
The materials, as usual, will be very soon published. So, it is visible that every year the conference is becoming a more large scale event..
On April 25-26, 2014 the International Black Sea University held the 4th International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English and Literatures in English, in which, besides Georgian scholars, participants from the USA, Turkey, Iran, Armenia and Russia took part (totally 55 presentations, some – in person, and some – virtual and 66 participants). PhD, MA and especially successful BA students were involved. The conference covered various important issues in education. A workshop dealing with the role of native and non-native speaking teachers of English was held within the conference.
The Third International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English Language and Literatures in English was held on April 19-20, 2013 at the Faculty of Education. The materials, as usual, will be very soon published. 62 participants from 4 countries (Georgia, Turkey, Iran, and Azerbaijan) presented 53 papers. Presenters were awarded certificates of participation. 6 Georgian, 3 Turkish and 1 Iranian university were represented Faculty of Education academic staff (6), also some staff from the Faculty of Humanities (1), School of Languages (1), and invited lecturers from our (1) and other faculties (2) participated. Our best 11 Bachelor, 3 Master, and 6 Ph.D. students from the Faculty of Education plus 1 BA, 1 MA and 1 Ph.D. IBSU students from other faculties presented papers. The conference was also a cultural event, as a performance dealing with the Beatles movement (Tinatin Salukvadze, Magdalina Velieva, and Nana Tsimintia) was presented at the opening ceremony and a little concert was performed in the closing ceremony (Ani Broladze, Tinatin Grdzelishvili) There was a sightseeing tour for international participants in Tbilisi and Sighnaghi. So, it is visible that every year the conference is becoming a more large scale.
